    • Castrol Aircol 2284 is a synthetic refrigeration oil formulated from selected alkyl-benzene base stocks. It is suitable for use in R22 refrigeration systems with very low evaporator temperatures where an alkyl-benzene-based lubricant is recommended by the manufacturer. With a kinematic viscosity of 68 cSt at 40°C, it can also be used in ammonia refrigeration compressors where an ISO VG 68 alkyl-benzene-based lubricant is specified. Its low pour point of -33°C and floc point of -55°C with R22 enables it to perform well in extremely low-temperature applications.
